 I was half kidding. Is that what everybody does it. If so that may deserve a mention somewhere that you can't miss it.

Before I get started with the setup of the forum. Is there anything else in the tp admin that conflicts with SMF or anything else for that matter.

  I still think that it should be noted somewhere that TP is basically a wonderful add on to an existing already setup SMF forum and that if you do not have a SMF forum you will need to set it up first then add TP and whatever theme you desire.

  I spent a number of days trying to set this up and it was impossible.I thought it was me it was not.  Looking back on it I am glad it happened,but not while it was happening.

I learned much I would not have learned had it not happened. Some people may not think this way.

You should be able to edit the forum with TinyPortal. I don't think that is intentional, it's just a bug that Bloc needs to fix. However, you shouldn't have to reinstall the forum to make these changes. Just uninstall the TinyPortal mod in package manager. Then make the changes to your forum. Then reinstall TP if that's what it takes.

Oh yea. that is what I meant. Just uninstall do the setup and reinstall.

Are you saying that some people can edit the boards in tp after it is installed, meaning only some people get the bug.

I'm not sure about that. I'll have to do some testing on my site and see how it goes. I'll let you know.

So when you try and modify your boards or add boards you receive this error? Are you able to do anything? Because on my beta testing board I'm still able to modify/add/change boards as I please. However, I do get an error in the error log.
Both of which have been posted on this site already.

Sorry---- I was away. Well if you read this thread I tried to delete something while in the manage boards section. It is named :a brief introduction and new category and the five towns. I added it when I had the wrong version of amber theme and things were not working right. It does not show up in the forum so I tried to delete it in the manage boards[admin] not tpadmin and got the error.

  I think I may have misstated the problem. It is when I try to manage the boards in admin[smf] and not really tpadmin where the problem is

  I want to delete all but the general discussion or that category.

I just don't want to get myself into a mess.

I'll take a look when I get the chance. One thing you could do is delete the board from the database. But I prefer not to mess with the DB if at all possible.
