Basic beginers / user guide.

Well I must be blind, all I'm looking for is a basic user / beginners / newbie guide and I can't find one anywhere on this site. 


I've managed to download install and active Tiny Portal v0.9.8..... but what the hell do I do now? What are all the different bits, what should I do first, what must I never do? Come on, everyone must have asked these questions.
...... Or do we all have to learn the hard way? 

NB: A search on this site for 'Beginners guide' returns NO results!

Well, before going off the deep end with your very first post.. and may I say Welcome.
Check out the Docs section, and while I mention Docs.. There are new docs being written as we speak.

First of all, you should read the Docs as there is a lot of info in there, and there will certainly be more as we have the time allowed.

Second, Tinyportal is by far IMO the easiest portal to manage. One must only look at the admin panel for it to really understand how to use it. I understand there will always be questions about what certain things mean, and how they work. But you must make an effort on your part to learn and to try things to see how they work. As this is a free software, you cannot expect things to always be the way you want it.

If you got frustrated with TinyPortal, I'd had to see what you do if you used MKportal or joomla! lol

Settings |  Front page | Panels | Modules | screens please?
