on a clean install of smf 1.1.4 I attempt to install tiny portal via package manager and i get this error everytime:

QuoteType Action Description
1. Extract Tree ./Themes
2. Extract Tree ./Sources
3. Extract Tree ./tp-downloads
4. Extract Tree ./tp-images
5. Extract Tree ./FCKeditor
6. Extract Tree ./wysiwyg
7. Execute Code tp_install.php
8. Execute Modification tinyportal09x-11x.mod Modification parse error

ive tried manual install a few times, and ive wiped db clean and smf install a few times and everytime i get the same message when i try to install either by package manager or manual install, also when i follow the link provided in the manual install read me file i get 404'd

additional info:

ive chmod'd all files, ive requested support from my provider to ensure that i have the ability to chmod files i do not own on the server, they have made necessary changes to my account to accomodate my needs, and again this is from a clean install of smf and attempts to install tinyportal via package manager and manual install

thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post and offer any help :)

So this is on a clean install.  No other mods?  What type of error are you getting from the manual install?

tatertot

no other mods, clean install and from manual install i get the same error just its in a red box on the install steps as opposed to the red letters next to the test file list in package manager

well if you would like I can take a look at this.  PM me a test admin account and your ftp login and password and url and I can give it a go.   That is if you would like for me to.  Tick

Ok you are good to go.  The reason package manager would not work for you is your host is running your server in safe mode.    SO I had to go the manual install route.  The manual install went fine it must have been some bad code edits why it did not work for you.  One little thing can throw you out.   I have done it my self.   Any hoo you are good to go.  Have fun.  Tick
