We were revising our site trying to get rid of these spammers on our website and accidently deleted our permissions for admin on our forum. I can't figure out how to get it back. Would it be something in phpmyadmin? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Could you explain a little better what  you are saying you did.  This is probably a question a little better asked on the smf forums.   But maybe if you explain what you did someone may come along and help.

Hey thanks for the quick response. I was having problems trying to delete this members that  kept logging on and spamming so, I was messing with the admin controls and I clicked the wrong button and it turned of my user name admin for having admin settings, leaving no body as an admin. I am looking to reset it so I can actually log into my site... I hope that is better let me know if you need anything else

I was told by my webdesigner to edit the database in phpmyadmin, but I am not sure if that is correct.

Make a backup of your database first!

you should be able to use phpmyadmin to edit the "members" table, the field you want to change is "ID_GROUP" and it needs to be set to "1" for the username in question. This will make that username an Administrator so be careful of the name you do it for.

Ps. this is more like a question for SMF forum :P

There should be no doubt... this is a question for the SMF forum.

Do a search there and you will find detail on how to resolve this issue.

Agree with Ken, there are topics at SMF where people have done the same.
I find it hard to understand how you remove yourself as Admin by accident.. SMF asks if you are sure.. Really Sure? you want to do this, it's not simply a button press and done.. Warnings popup.

Yep, as I know I have answered that question a few times over there myself. :)
