Admin===>current theme===>under heading "edit theme" you will see a link to "Modify the index template. (the main template)"

Zetan

It's sometimes easier to edit the actual file by downloading it from the theme folder, editing and uploading.

clickranju

ok
in which folder :
is it default theme  or the theme i am currently using..

what is the file name..

thank you

Zetan

the file can usually be found in each theme folder.

index.template.php

Make a copy first!

If the theme does not have an index.template.php file, then it uses the default core theme index file.

sorry i think i made a mistake it is not board index.. it is message index page..
For making changes in message index which file i have to edit ????
Whether the same index.template.php or messageindex.template.php
thank you ...

You named it yourself. messageindex.template.php is the file. And of course, you want to edit the one in the theme that you need to change. If you're theme doesn't have one, I would suggest copying one from the default theme to it and then edit that file.

clickranju

is it easy to edit ... can i get any help about the
file  messageindex.template.php...

IchBin

IF you give what you need done specifically you can probably get some help. Depends on what you need done, and how fast usually.

I believe this new topic is actually a continuation from this topic:

It would have been better to keep them together?
