Article not showing on front page for guests

I'm probably missing something really obvious here, but....

I want to have my featured article showing on the front page to guests. I've got it showing fine when a user or Admin logged in, but as soon as I log out and become a guest, it disappears and all I'm seeing in a log in screen and a message saying that guests are not allowed to access this section.

What am I missing here? What setting do I need to change to make my article show for guests as well?

You are so right about that. Permissions and then we have the permissions again, and if you want, we can talk about them a third time again

OK, G6 thanks for the reply, which I'm assuming was meant to be either a bit sarcastic or cryptic in some way.

So, I'm real dumb when it comes to Tiny Portal.

Actually, I'm trying to learn from scratch, by trail-and-error and assumed - maybe wrongly - that I might get some help in this forum.

Guests should be able to view the articles by default as far as I remember. Just checked it on my site and it worked. Have a link so we can see your site?

Oh, and yes G6 was being sarcastic with you. Once you get to know her you'll realize that.

I'm seeing the blocks on the left OK, but none of the articles can be shown, nor the featured article viewable.

Unless I'm mistaken, everyone can see articles, however only selected membergroups can "submit" them?

Yeah.... the question is 'why?'

Access your boards in Admin/Forum/Boards

Then edit the categories and boards you have. Check the boxes for the membergroups youwant to be able to see the boards.
It seems like you have closed the entire forum for guests, and if TP have the settings to go directly to forum index, the frontpage is locked to.

I've been and set all the boards to be viewable for guests and it is still showing only a login screen both for the main TP page and the forums.

Very strange

Any ideas?
