Wehn I create a html/bbc box using the WYSIWYG editor, then my final output has too many linebreaks. Then if I edit the source and remove the line breaks it is find, but then all the text bunches back together.. it is really confusing.... :uglystupid2:

The HTML/BBC boxes act just like forum post boxes with the addition of accepting straight HTML (I really think they should be renamed, though I'm not sure what a good short label for them would be).

And in post boxes, when you hit -enter- for a newline (like this)...
you go to a new line. And when you follow a  < b r > with an -enter- (like this)...

you skip a line.

But I type like in a normal post ox, but the results are crazy. It happens, I should mention, when I edit the source code.

It MAY be the combination of WYSIWIG and the type of box. The WYSIWIG puts one linebreak (< br >) at the end-of-line (the "\n" character) and the parsing of the box type inserts another (speculation, I don't use the WYSIWIG editor).

Well there is the problem, I think! What can I do to avoid it from happening?

Turn off the editor. :)

Seriously, these are problems with the editors that we are trying to get rid of. So much so, that Bloc has looked at many other editors to replace what we currently have.

If I disable it will it stop it in articles etc?

You also might want to check how things go in a scriptbox. It handles html. I'm not positive, but I don't think it automatically parses internal newlines (-enter- key) into linebreaks (which would prevent 'doubling up') the way the HTML/BBC block does.

Yes, it will turn it off everywhere.
