I didn't know where to post it. I download tinyportal and didn't like it. Does the script writes has any idea if they plan on setting up sub directories

category dir1
   sub category dir1/dir1
   sub category dir1/dir2
category dir2
   sub category dir2/dir1
   sub category dir2/dir2
and so on

I didn't like the idea that all the files are in the same directory

Thanks

Nokonium

I don't really understand what you mean.

Do you mean the articles? If you do they are not saved as files, they are saved in the database. You can create categories for articles and add articles to them, have a play with the article manager.

No, I talking about the download area in Tinyportal. It's only setup for One(1) category and one(1) directory

And I don't like what installing tinyportal did to my main page. I wanted to keep it like it was. The main page should have nothing but the forum areas on it and the  articles section should be on of a page of it's own

let me try and give a better sample
/this is the first category and sub categories
category dir1 / the dir related to category
sub category dir1/dir1 //dir and sub dirs
sub category dir1/dir2 //dir and sub dirs
category dir2 //This is Category 2 and the dir
sub category dir2/dir1 // and sub dirs
   sub category dir2/dir2
and so on

does that help. I'm just am interested in the download area for my users

In TVv098 there is no options like you want, Bloc is however working on a lot of things both for the articles (TP V1) and also the download module, Cant say whats going in for the next version, but the development is allways going forward.
So in short, you cant have what you want in this version available now, but in future releas/s there will be changes towards what you want to have now.

Simply set TP to go directly to the Forum in the settings.

Sorry I haven't play with it that long to know what to do. Is that in the forum settings or in TP setting.

You don't like it? You don't yet know how to use it.  ;)

Cool', Thats works. Thank you. thats what I wanted. Now all i need is a download area and then I can setup this up for my web site and run this instead of XMB

The Download manager is functional.. but it is a work-in-progress module.

And I should have put... > What to show on front page: Go directly to forum index
