I have seen cms systems featuring top blocks, bottom blocks, left blocks, right blocks and even frontpage blocks being devided into numerous amounts of blocks rows and block columns..

I think it would be nice to see a possibility of creating block area's in your template or maybe even tru a special theme manager in admin???

site layout example:

     topblocks left to right
l                                       r
e                                      i
f                                      g
t                                      h
b    frontpagecontent          t
l               blocks               b
o                                      l
c                                      o
k                                      c
s                                      k
    bottomblocks left to right

contentblocks can be any number of blocks:
left to right and top to bottom

also it might be a nice idea to devide top and bottom area's in left, center and right

for example:
bottomblocksleft bottomblockscenter bottomblocksright

this way any layout can be made :P

but as we say in holland: I bet this is the far from your bed show for now :P

cheers,

Being able to write our own blocks into templates as easy as "<?php LoadModules ( 'bottom' ); ?>" would certainly be a advantage.
Or can we already do something similar?
