How do I get Tiny Portal to work with all the themes installed on my board?

Lesmond

If you have installed TP after the themes, you will need to uninstall all the other themes, and get themes for tinyportal, all this must be done using the default/core theme, most of TP themes will have tp in the file name, these can be found in the download section

TheQuest

I did that.  But I'm not getting any of the other features, like the shoutbox on the new themes.
Is there a control to turn this on with the new themes?

IchBin

In each of the downloads there is a separate download for the TP version of the theme. Make sure the file you download has TP in the name. With the exception of a few themes like Scribble2, Prometheus, Blueskies etc that have TP/SMF in one version.

also if you had the smf version installed previously you need to log into the site with a ftp client and delete the folder after you uninstall the smf version.  Then install the TP version

You can try after installing the TP on your SMF.
Go to manual modification instruction of file index.template.php and do some coding,
you might not find all the strings to search but atleast you could try an error or maybe
study the code of the SMF theme you want to apply. its kinda hard for a newbie like me

Work that way in just a few themes, most themes needs to be changed in more files then that. Some style.css and also boardindex.template.php on some.
The best way is to uninstall all themes you have except the default/bablylon and classic and then download and reinstall the same themes but using the converted ones from Crip or the TP themes from our downloadsection.
Sounds like a big job, but its faster then add code in and do the trial and error steps during the conversion.

Crip

After installing a TP theme go Directly to Admin >> Current Theme and look really good at the options that is there, this way you Know what that particular Theme has and does not have or do. :)
I have become comfortably numb!
