I've added a weather block on the front page of my portal that uses flash.  It works fine other than the fact the flash doesn't load.  I have the settings set on "scriptbox".  Can anyone tell me how to get my flash to show up?  Thanks.

G6Cad

We cant give you support on what you should use for a block or article unless you post the code you use (please use the codetags when posting the code)
Also if you use an sfw file you have to make sure the paths are correct to where you have the file on your server.
If you use an external file, make sure your server have the permissions set so you are allowed to fetch external content and show it on your site.

Okay, here's the code....I run it on the same server only using a different forum package than SMF....It worked fine....It still works fine other than the flash buttons don't show up....You can still put in your zip code or city name and get the weather.

It appears to be calling for some flash files that should be loaded on your server, did you just place the code in your block, or did you also upload the flash files it's calling for?

A link to your site would be good.

yes, i uploaded the files on the server....and the link is http://dhost.info/lookingglass
also when you right click on the image, it tells you that the movie hasn't loaded.

Ken.

Tried running your code on one of my test sites;
The default display size of this code is way too big for a block and breaks out of the block. I also tried one of their other codes with the same result... it's just too big for a side block. On the free version of the code you can resize the display container, but it cuts off a part of the display in the process.

Hopefully someone will be able to give you a better idea on what to look for.

It seems to be some thing to do with the free hosting your on, from what I can tell, if you past the link to the .swf in your browser. it redirect to the hosting site, so you may have host the files elsewhere!!

as i said, i used that same code on a different site but with that same host before.....it's all bound for this site...http://www.alumspringsbaptistchurch.org once i have it looking like i want....i guess you could call the free host my playing around with it site....as for the redirecting, it doesn't do that when i click on anything.
