Neorics

i want to make the title of my scriptbox block clickable

i tried putting an html on the title and it works fine when viewing the block but when i go to the manage block page i see the words coming off as shown in my attachment

now i'm asking whether there is a more proper way to do that or this one's just fine?

falguni1

yes
make 2 blocks
make 1st block html put ur title ok
make 2nd block below it put ur code and hide the title ok

Zetan

can you post the entire URL you are trying to use? Have you closed the tag?
eg:

<a href="URLHERE">Title</a>

I did.. and if you don't close open tags, like < /a>, no spaces.. strange things like that can happen.

I'm not sure if you can insert URLs into the title.. I tried it and it did work.. but the URL vanished when I reopened with the edit button.. but the Title was still there.

After going back to the home page.. the title was linked still.

that's basically what i said...

i used this code
<a href="http://google.com">Clickable Title Testing</a>
and the error in the picture shows up

btw in where do you input your code? in the edit block or in the manage block page?

Zetan

Well, the way I tried was in the block title.. I'm at work and we use IE6.
It may look different in FireFox.

Like I said, I'm not sure block titles have been designed to accept URLs.. if they were, you would likely have a seperate URL text input field like the menu manager.
