Question about TinyPortal and members.

I have SMF and I have a lot of memebers on it. Is there ny way to install TinyPortal and keep my members?

You are not gonna loose any members if you install TP.

FiX Tiny Portal is a CMS developed only for and based on SMF. It is not a standalone CMS that has to be bridged with SMF. It is made as an expansion of SMF and uses SMF' s member databases.

So no special way is needed.

The only drawback for a big forum is that SMF is still beta. It is stable enough but a little experience is needed.

I think it is a good idea to test it first with a test SMF installation, gain experience then do the big jump to the working forum.

Making a test site is a great idea! Once you start using TP you want to add loads of things to it. Making a mistake can probably hose your site. So test each thing you wish to add first then make then add the required additions on your live site.

what version of smf? what version of tinyportal did you install.

what errors are you getting?

did you run tp_install.php?

I installed the latest one(      TinyPortal v0.7.5 ) on smf 1.0.5. I installed it through packages and then it says there is no boards avaliable when I go to index.
