Frontpage Layout

I've seen several topics about this but still can't seem to find an explanation ... or it could be me.

I'm finding that the layout for the frontpage either aren't working or I'm not understanding them. I'm referring to A, B, C, D.

Results are inconsistent. They do seem to rely on the amount of articles you choose and the dates of those of those article though. I'm just not sure why.

Also, the layout seems to get close to expected results when all of the "Show forum-posts on front page from:" fields are full (something other than none)

Can anyone direct me to a description or step by step that I may have missed.

I'm using SMF 1.1.3, TP 983 and Scribbles 2

We are aware of some problems here. It will be fixed in TP 1.0.

ah, thanks much. I was pulling my hair out. I love the TP though. It's really kewl. Thanks
