TinyPortal Block Suggestion - 'ALL' Feature

Just as a suggestion, I'm not sure how many times it's been brought up, or if it has been brought up at all...But, how about giving us the option to display a block on 'ALL' boards, instead of only being able to select one of the many you may have?

I'm referring to the "Show when inside this board" option. Sure you can leave it alone (-none-) and it'll display on all pages, but what if we don't want that and only want the block to display in ALL of our boards...no where else?

I've got two main boards, and as it stands, anytime I want to display a new block in those boards, I have to create an identical block in my block menu. One so that it displays the block on board one, and the second identical block, so that it displays the same information in the other.

All that being said, Bloc, you've got a MASTERPIECE in my opinion, TINYPORTAL ROCKS! I do hope that we can see an option such as 'ALL BOARDS' in future releases though.

One more suggestion to add to the crazy options of the blocks. lol There are soooooo many suggestions on when its hard to even keep track.

For a work around Alex can use php code so you don't have to create so many blocks. Need any help with that let us know. In fact, I probably have already done it I just don't remember lol.

I second the request. Make it selectable so you can choose multiple boards to display the same block in. I believe you sent me some code to try but I think it's a little beyond my skill level. I can move around in PHP a little but it doesn't take me long to hose the page. Backup often. :-)

Just wanted to bump this post. I hope you guys decide to add this feature. It's badly needed.

After thinking about this, you should already be able to do this. By default the block will show in all boards unless you tell it not to. Am I missing something?

I think he means show only in forum so to speak, but not in articles for example.

These options is something i am working on now in fact, I am going for selecting multiple things, not just one-per-area.

I understand you have a mod that when setting up a block and you use "Show when inside this board" You can select multiple boards instead of just all or one. If so, where can I find it.

It seems you did search, but you've not found it.

Instead of posting in every topic, try searching again and maybe when IchBin logs in, he will probably reply to the topic you already started.. He'll probably tell you to search too as he probably can't remember where it is either.
