Only problem with replacing the old files with new ones is that if you install TP again, you will have the same troubble as the DB is still there from the old install.
If you want to replace the files and install TP again, you have to erase the TP DB tables.

iGate

so i will reupload the files just drop the tp tables in phpmyadmin

G6Cad

Yes, make sure you only drop the TP tables, and leave the SMF ones.

iGate

do i have to reupload all the files or just the one that have been modified

G6Cad

If you know what file you have changes, just replace that one. but to be sure you have all the files correct, i would have uploaded/overwritten all of them. Make sure they DO get uploaded so you dont have any zerobyte (0) byte files.
