*SOLVED* Urgent assistance wanted: Corrupt smf_tp_blocks ?

Hi!
Last Friday night my major portal suddenly crashed, i.e. the main page wouldn't load into the browser. After an intensive correspondence with my web hotel's support during the whole night I suspect that they were doing some server overhaul by the time the error occurred - perhaps in combination with an ongoing critical db table transaction? - but in no way they could restore my portal. Although they tried just about everything.

E.g. a new SMF forum was installed in a fresh directory, connected to the old db, and it worked ok. But as soon as TP was installed, still with the old db tables, it did not .

Since then I have made several variants of that kind of procedures, also with a fresh db and importing the old db's tables, but with the same result.

Now I have tracked down the table that doesn't work: smf_tp_blocks. As I restore that table from an original tp table, everything else in the portal seems ok.

So I have exported the table and would be very much obliged if anyone in the support team would have a look at it to find what may cause the error, since the situation is kind of critical since my forum is quite important to the people who are using it? Please PM me and I'll send you the table.

If you had hide blocks when in admin panel selected you should be able to access the admin panel without loading the blocks

http://yourdomain/index.php?action=admin

You will then be able to turn off individual blocks, find the one that is causing the problem and fix or delete it.

Although I didn't follow your advice technically, you got my mind to focus on another kind of set of errors that might produce the same symptom as my portal had: RSS-blocks that makes the whole portal simply "stop" if any of the included feeds doesn't load (maybe due to that the feed doesn't feed as it should from the source  ).

That made the trick this time, by simply removing the feed in that block that wasn't fed  , and I did it within phpAdmin.
