Clueless Style Sheet Error?

ok I have been hunting this down for awhile not........If you look at my screnshot, you will notice that somehow there is a news section to the left of the admin page that should not be there.  I have tried everything to get rid of it but just seems to sit there and should not be there.  Is there anyone who can point me to the correct file I need to be looking at in detail to find this "news and search" display.  It pushes everything to the right once I enter the forum, however when I on the frontpage, it is not there....

ohhhhh also if anyone knows, ok when you goto to post a new topic.....at the bottom on the tabs (like in this forum itself......the tabs that says..... Reply   |      Notify    |     New Poll      | etc,........where is the stylesheet do I need to make the padding smaller, on my site it looks like postreplynotify with no spacing.
