Is there a way to have an Article show up in the Center already Open?
Normally the Block shows just the Block Title and the Article Title.
You have to click on the Article Title for it to expand.

I would like for it to be open when a Guest or Member come first to the Front Page.

Or is there a better way to do this?

To have an article as your front page

Admin>TinyPortal, Settings>Front Page

In 'What to show on front page:' select 'Only articles'. Set your chosen article to 'Set as featured' and it will be shown first, followed by any other articles where 'Show on front page:' has been seleted.

Or you could select 'Featured article and front page blocks' and have a featured article and front page blocks, below in 'How frontblocks will be shown:' you have a choice of loading the blocks or the article first.

Thanks for the fast response.

I think I did a bad job explaining of what what I want to do.
The article shows up first. However, it is always is collapsed and I have to click on it first to read it.

I would like for it to show up open when I first come to the Front Page without having to click on it.

If, on your front page, you have to click a link to display the article it has not been set to 'Show on front page'. An article cannot be collapsed, only a block or sidebar can do that.

Ok, thanks that where I had started. The article shows up and is open.
However, if I understand it right, I can not assign this kind article to be seen only by certain members?

What I am trying to accomplish is that a Guest sees one Article and once registered, as Member the individual would see a different Article.

1. Is that possible?

2. Should I use a different approach like Blocks with text?

Again, thanks for your help.

Nokonium

To do that you can add your article content to a front page block or just use the 'one article' block option and it will display what you already have. Set the block permissions and you will have what you want.

Currently Admins see everything so you will see both blocks, but non admins will see only one.

Thanks for your help, I think I understand TP overall a little better now.

First let me say I was able to make the article(s) work the way discussed above.
Unfortunately, I also found that if you use blocks, you can't use the multiple "Article layout for the front page:" any longer. It only works with Articles NOT Articles in blocks.

Is this finding correct?
Based on the forum posts that flexibility will be added in TP 1.0! ?

Thanks for the support.
