How to make Blocks ON?

Block is off

Dynamic Block
ââ,¬Â¢
Block can be edited by extra membergroups

Nokonium

That line is a key to the status of the blocks below. To turn a bloc on you need to click on the .

shows that a block is on and shows that the block is off.

I believe I am having a similar issue as the OP.  In my configuration I simply don't see the colored icon that should signify black status.  The entire line is:

Block is off      Dynamic Block  ââ,¬Â¢  Block can be edited by extra membergroups

I'm assuming the icon should appear before "Block is off"?  I've tried using both the default theme and the WowDK theme, with Firefox or with IE.

Nevermind, I was being stupid.  The theme I was using wasn't letting the panels show up.  Guess why the blocks weren't showing on screen? :P

Ken.

If your theme was not allowing the blocks to display then most likely you have the SMF version installed and not the SMF/TP version.

Hi there

Seems I'm also having the same problem, but I unlike ouberlord, I can't work out what's causing it.

Presumably the Theme. But I have NO idea.

Ken your response doesn't make much sense to me, unfortunately. I went looking around the SMF site for a different download called SMF/TP (without success) and I can only find a single version of TP to download here... so... I'm a little bit stuck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because this little application rocks! I only came across it today and I'm taking it for a test-drive. So far, things work nicely. Just no panels and no ability to set the A/B/C/D layout options on the frontpage.

Thanks!

P.S. Theme I'm using is "alak" if that helps...

I'm SO sorry! I'm sure that my last post is the sort of MORONISM that you guys get all day every day. I reset all users and fired up the default theme and  it seems to be working fine. My apologies.

I am in love with that theme, though...

...it's perfect for the feel and tone of the forum I'd like to set up.

Is there not a hack for getting a theme to accept the TP panels?

Much appreciated.

Zetan

Have a search for the theme.. It may have been converted for TP already.

If not, Crip has a conversion guide in his Theme board 'Crip'. If you get really stuck, He does take requests when he can and has time to.

Sorry if my response was not clear to you, but its good that you were able to sort it out.  :)
The 'correct theme' issue is a question that we reply to almost every day so sometimes I tend to shorten my replies and leave out some of the finer details.

Heya!

Thanks for checking this thread Ken.

And thanks VERY much to ZTN! Awesome.

Like I said, today is the first I have ever heard of TP and the first time I have ever installed SMF. I had no idea that ardent TPers were modding the themes and then releasing them back into the wild. TOTALLY amazing!

I typed in    [theme name] + tiny portal  and BANG! I had a modified version downloaded in under two minutes after a brief hunt around. Uninstalled SMF. Reinstalled SMF. Uploaded TP and I'm good to go!

I can now start configuring it and adding content.

You guys WRAAAWCK!

Cheers.
