Is there any chance for us, to create some multi page articles using TP? Like other CMS using page-break tag?

thanks b4 regarding to Your answer....

There's no feature like that built into TP yet.

Ken.

When I want articles to be linked, as in a series, it's just a matter of adding links or a link structure inside of the articles so that they are tied together. This can be done using text style links, or images... I use both in some of my pages.
This approach works well and is simple to do with html articles, haven't tried it with php but the concept and execution should be similar.

Thanks sir,.. I think it's kind of importance feature for cms,... My site, just move from Joomla-SMF to TP-SMF,.. it's goes faster, simpler, error free and nice!! But I can't do multiple page articles anymore,...

Link the articles into one, nice idea,.. I think I'll gonna try that,..

For TP Coder,.. please consider to build that feature into TP.. :) is it possible?

IchBin

Sorry, but most of us are not Joomla users. Could you perhaps explain exactly what you are talking about? Don't forget TinyPortal is a Portal and not a CMS. :)

hyem

yup,.. IC, Portal,.. not a CMS,.. but we'll try to create one nice site using TP rite?
Sometimes, we need to publish one long & big articles or report,.. and sure we can't go down creating one long page.
So we should cut it into some pages, with index. So.. is there any chance for TP to support it?

Multiple pages for one big articles... Cause it's a one nice importance features I guess..

An interesting idea, but personally I think the "page break" tag is bit cumbersome even(have used it on Joomla), a more interesting idea would be to have separate editor windows for the "parts" - or simply multiple articles linked to each other. They can be made such that showing one of them automatically adds a pageindex including the others. That would only extend the articles options really, and not require a change in type at all.

hyem

Yup.. rite... multiple articles linked to each other, with automatic page index!
thanks sir..

hyem

how do we have separate editor windows for the "parts"? can we put it on additional modules or  Block code snippets?

bloc

Well, not exactly..I think the "linked articles" approach will be better, it allows just similar articles to be linked to each other. If its for example php articles the same applies - you could then even construct a simple application in it, that take for example input from the user on page 1 and jumps to the next with the information.
