Ken.

Many of us use Blog's like WordPress on our sites and it's always nice to find better and easier ways to use the Blog, or anything else we have on our sites for that matter.
I actually use two different Blogs, the other being the outstanding FelBlog, but this is about a Beta utility that can be used with WordPress and in several other ways as well.

It's called "Windows Live Writer Beta" and is a desktop style publishing utility that can publish your output directly into your WordPress Blog... I've tested the function and it works as advertised making it simple and easy to write something that can include HTML,  images and the like and then with a simple click post it to WP.
The setup is super easy as well, just enter the address of your Blog, ID & password and it dose the rest.

My interest is also very much in the fact that it's setup as a WYSIWYG editing tool that will show you both the 'what you get' part and the underlying HTML so that it can be used to write TP articles. I have several dozen HTML pages that need to be converted to articles so this has great appeal for me.

If you want to check it out it can found it here:

Ken.

Glad you like it so far crip≈, I'm still testing it to see if it will be a useful HTML editor for my article conversions. Until now Microsoft FrontPage has been used to convert my HTML web pages into TP Articles and that works OK, but it's a bit overblown and has lots of stuff going on thats really not necessary for my needs... hopefully this will be a good alternative to FP as an editor.

A little bit overdressed, I think  ::)
Felblog, Wordpress and Tinyportal have it's own WYSIWYG editor, why i need one on my workstation?
And in other hand .. Felblog's editor support ALL Browser.

And about Felblog's alpha state .. yes, why not? Allways i make a alpha befor I distribute a beta and then a release.
That, I  think, do all Companies, they wrote software.
So, i understand NOT your message ...

Ken.

Hi Fel

As mentioned in my first post I like your FelBlog very well and so I agree with your comments.

I only mentioned FelBlog to point out the fact that I do use it, my post is really about the editor mentioned and it's potential use as an HTML editor, because while I like the option to use it to publish directly into WordPress, my main use would be as an editor for my existing HTML web pages as I convert them into TP Articles.

The existing editors in TP are OK but so far this one seems to fit my needs more closely for this HTML/Article conversion project.

In no way was this thread intended to downplay the value or quality of FelBlog and I'm sorry if you received that impression.

Thanks... Ken.

Myself,
I'm a hard core Wordpress user; and have been for years now..I was using WP before I even knew about SMF / TP...it's just a matter of preference really I think!!
