Using Tinyportal's functions for a custom homepage.

Hello,

I am going to make a custom homepage for my site to give it a good look.But I'll not uninstall Tinyportal since I need its extensive ammount of fantastic features like shoutbox,Download manager, Articles etc etc.
All I am willing to ask is can I use Tinyportal's functions(like shoutbox) for a custom homepage I am planning to make for my site?

You cant use anything outside the forum from TP as it is depending on the SMF files you have installed.

What do you mean?I am not going to do like take it away.I am only gong to include its function and that is it.It will be all the same.Is that possible?

As long as you have the content in the same dir that you have the forum installd to, you can use the content, but you cant use anything from smf or tp outside that folder as TP uses the SMF files to function.
If you move things outside the folder where you have the forum installd, nothing will work.

No, It would be something like this:
Forum and TP will be in same directory.
I will make a homepage that wont be in same directory but I will include or call TP's files to use its features.
I tried it and I think it works.
So All I am asking is am I allowed to do this?

And that is not possible as i tried to explain in the last post.
You cant have any functions outside the SMF and Tp as the functions are dependent on the forum and the files with in the folder they are installed to.

If I understand you, you want to call a function from TP/SMF?  it is allowed, if you know a way of doing it that is, but as G6 says, I dont think it can be done!
