Crazyfish.   The description you gave was not very clear.   Please try to better explain so we can help you with your problem. :)

Ok, excuse, I want to use some files that I have been putting up, I only want to place their link in my site, but the only option that I found was of doing upload,  would like to know way it is had of using the files that are online.

Forgive my English, it is not of the best.

If you have them uploaded to a separate folder on your forum then the tp-downloads folder, you cant add the file to the download section with out reupload them to the tp-downloads
If you have them there, you can use the ftp function in the download administration and assign the files you uploaded to a category and that way have them added to your downloads.

I think am a lot of donkey because I didn't understand.
In my option FTP only appears that: By using the links behind each file, you can assign individual files. If you check several files, you can assign all of them into the category in one operation. If you write something in the new-category-field, that will be used, if not the dropdown list. Notice that this also acts the the parent category when using new-category option.

And my upload screen is like this:

Okay so what you want to do is have several files you want to made available for download, is this correct...

They are set up in to categories...you can have parent categories a "large" category or "smaller" sub categories

You will upload your files (one by one) or if you prefer you can zip multiple files that you want into a single category...

Is this what you wanted to know?

It is like this, I had a site in a server, and in that site almost had 1 gb of files, later I made that site with TinyPortal and wanted to use the files of the old site that they are already in the internet, just wanted to place the link.
Does have way?
Thankful for the attention.

Well there are two ways:

1) you can just link to the files without using the download manager...
Example http://yoursite.com/downloads_folder/file.zip
You could be creative with this way and make your own "download areas" using articles

2) you can reupload each file to the download manager (tpdownloads folder) and use the download manager to host the files
