first of all I posted this in the wrong forum before, I'm sorry and could someone delete the other post.

Next.

My site has been working fine, then all of a sudden just now it shows
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /public_html/Sources/TPortal.php on line 247

any ideas why this would happend seemingly for no reason?
Everything has been fine up until now.

my site is www.digitalskinz.com

I can't even get into the forum, everything just stops with that error up there.   :'(

That part of the TP code is for the frontpage

Can you get directly into your admin panel?

#2
no, every page shows the same error.

is it possible to upload another tPortal.php file fresh from a zip?

Nokonium

That was going to be my next suggestion, if you unzip the package you will be able to ftp the file to your site to overwrite the existing file.

Taura

now its showing
"Template Parse Error!
There was a problem loading the /Themes/leviathan_11final_tp/index.template.php template or language file. Please check the syntax and try again - remember, single quotes (') often have to be escaped with a slash (\). To see more specific error information from PHP, try accessing the file directly."

I know there is a language bug, but I had already set my files to english not the u8twhateverenglish. When I go to use the default theme it tells me
"Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/tauranox/public_html/Sources/TPmodules.php on line 121"

LOL I swear, I didn't touch anything!

Taura

ok I don't mean to double post myself.
But I have re-uploaded all the files it lists that have an error.
Now I can view the forum, but my theme is gone.

I have no idea what caused the problem but I am noticing the files I'm replacing are extremely small in size compared to the fresh ones from the tp zip I just opened.

Nokonium

I still cannot see your site, I'm getting

QuoteTemplate Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

Nokonium

I suggest that you re-upload all the TP source files and templates.

Yeah, I have TP uninstalled at the moment, and I uploaded a fresh version of the default theme. So far so good, at least I can get into the site :D I'm going to try to re-upload the leviathan theme I was using and TP soon.
