Recent Topics not working

I was redirected here from SMF.

I want to add last posted topics in a specific forum, and here is my problem:

the first one is all new topics, and second one is for a specific board - but it displays more new topics that that for certain boards - I want to display for board ID 4.0:

Didnt take long but out of the huge number of pages there is I finally found some working code.

This is added as a PHP page, but I have a table and I want to put the code in the table, how do I do that?

E.g

I did figure this out, but I use this code in 2 parts of my HTML code to display recent topics from 2 different forums but the second displays the results from the first query and the second... so I am wondering what variable needs clearly to display the new results only and how I clear the variable?

You have to create 2 different result sets. Use different variables on each separate query.

Can i not just use any kind of method to clear the current data, as there are ALOT of variable to change there..
