I have these 2 buttons at the end of my menu row, i assume they are with TP, since when i click them it hides the left or right side blocks. How can i set it so those buttons dont show,

thanks

rebelrose

You could comment out or remove the code from the index.template.php

coldthunder

i will see if i can figure that out, so there is no setting in the block manager that would hide that or set it off? since when i click it it hides the whole left side or right side blocks

coldthunder

well lol thought i would try what you said and i commentd out the following code (wasnt even sure if that was the right one) but it worked, hope i didnt mess anything else up by doing that

/* TinyPortal
if($context['TPortal']['leftbar'])
echo '<a href="#" onclick="shrinkHeaderLeftbar(!current_leftbar); return false;"><img id="upshrinkLeftbar" src="', $settings['images_url'], '/', empty($options['collapse_leftbar']) ? 'upshrink.gif' : 'upshrink2.gif', '" alt="*" title="', $txt['upshrink_description'], '" style="margin: 2px 0;" border="0" /></a><img id="upshrinkTempLeftbar" src="', $settings['images_url'], '/blank.gif" alt="" style="margin-right: 0ex;" />';
if($context['TPortal']['rightbar'])
echo '<a href="#" onclick="shrinkHeaderRightbar(!current_rightbar); return false;"><img id="upshrinkRightbar" src="', $settings['images_url'], '/', empty($options['collapse_rightbar']) ? 'upshrink.gif' : 'upshrink2.gif', '" alt="*" title="', $txt['upshrink_description'], '" style="margin: 2px 0;" border="0" /></a><img id="upshrinkTempRightbar" src="', $settings['images_url'], '/blank.gif" alt="" style="margin-right: 0ex;" />';
TinyPortal end
*/

phew thanks, afraid to do anything of fear im going to mess something else up

Good Job, you should never be afraid to try things, just remember to ALWAYS, ALWAYS, BACKUP, first. Then if you mess it up you can put it all back as if nothing happened  :laugh:

That is the best advice anyone who is starting out with trying to change code could get.  Always back up.   Good advice Rose.
