I am using Amber_tp on my forum.ÂÃ,  I have it close enough for launch that I wanted to get some feed back for it from the members over at The Admin Zone forums.ÂÃ,  This is what one of the staff members over there said

Pros: I've never seen an SMF forum look that good/never knew they could.

I was wondering what was going on last night.  I went over there to look for something and all I got was a page stating that the forum was being upgraded.  If that is going to be the new default I think it is a huge step forward for SMF.  That is the biggest gripe people have about it (SMF) that I've heard, that it was to boxy, and ugly.  I'm glad they are improving the image.

took a peek at the new 'default' theme and wow... very nice lookin' indeed....

(but it does look kind of *coughs* vbulletin-ish)..lol

I will be giving more details when its out..but I did put a lot of thought to make it easier to change, especially the old default theme's strange use of news/stats layout on top.
