what kind of block can i put a "a href" code into?

Trying to put the following in a block

Code Select Expand

i tried the html, the script box and other. Im not a coder so pleae dont yell at me, just looking for a little help

It works fine in the bbc / html block I just tested your link on my site.

From the looks Lesmond I don't think he is selecting the <> button in the editor.

not sure what i did but this time it worked, thans for all your help folks, its appreciated.

On a side note, is there a way i can have my banner autosize in the pge depending on the screen resolution? if not what code do i put in the template.index.php to center the banner?
