morning all or good evening all depending were you are i gues

can someone tell me how to do this bit plz

in smf default i have the staff tab and gallery tab ass addon's
but are using the dibler mc tp theme

i have managed to get the gallery accross my means of having a random image on the left this gives a gateway into gallery on any theme used so not needing the tab accross the top

how can i do the same with the staff
i have tried in many ways this morning ssi and rss seam to be the most obvious but i cant work it out

## have searched but couldn't see anything, or have i now been trying that long i got blinded by it all ##and its so obvious it easly overlooked ?

It should be very similar to do the buttons as the default theme. We have a guide here that tells you how in the default theme in the docs section.

right time to take the plunge then i gues so how i get to
index.template.php file
do i use the cpanel aor can i do it threw the admin in smftp ?

IchBin

You could probably use both. I've never used Cpanel to do it though. I prefer using an FTP program to grab the file, edit it, then upload and replace.

changing subject to save threads

anybody tell me what i doing wrong i have opened up articles to all members  but not guests so they can wright and post articles but i was asked how they do it and to be honest i dont know the answer
as i just edited the ones there !?

gffb

when they click the link to add-make and article then get a post message box where they would write the article give it a title and submit it.

martinmarinekeeper

i think thats the problem they cannot see the link
yet i have ticked all options ?

IchBin

The link for submitting articles is only displayed in the Admin Tools block. YOu have to create that type of block for them to see it.

martinmarinekeeper

oh right is there a post on how to do that already (just of the top of your head ) do you think

if not how would i go about doing that ?
just pointers and i'll try it if i cant do it i;ll ask again
im learning slowly

gffb

In the ACP look in block manager and add a block called admin tools and make sure you give permission to the users/groups that you want to be able to post articles
