i would like to give a specific membergroup permission to edit shout messages in the shoutbox, but not any of the other blocks... i found out how to give exclusive edit rights to the shoutbox block, but that's just for the block itself and not any of the shout messages... if i turn on the ability to edit the shout messages, it then turns on the ability to edit all of the other blocks - which is what i am trying to avoid...

is this possible?

Yo have the settings when you edit the block itself

QuoteChoose your extra membergroups that can edit this block only.

Note that "manage_blocks" and "admin" permission always give this right regardless.

what i did was chose an extra membergroup to edit the specific shoutbox block, but it takes them only to the block settings itself (block options like choosing title and frame, where to show the block, who can view it, etc.)... what it doesn't do, is give access to editing the shout messages themselves... i have a few members - who are not admins - that i want to give access to fixing mistakes in shouts (typos, bad links, etc.)...

At the moment, that is not possible to give them that single permission.

Has this ever been updated?  I really would like my moderators to be able to edit ShoutBox messages.

Nothing like this is getting implemented until TP 1.0
