Hi there,

I have set the TP settings as first attachment and that displays a front page as attachment 2 I thought that that would give me every new front page article at the top and then articles moving down from top left to topr right then down a level and so on, but what I have seen it do it place a new article in the top row the next newest one under and to the left but then it places all the rest in a right column, what I would like is a left right layout on ech line any ideas?

Set it to featured articles and frontpage blocks and see how it turn out.

That seems to work better, but how do I get page2,3,4 and so forth to show the next lot or articles?

[edit] correction that looks fine but now articles are also shown to guests?

G6Cad

The pages will show up automaticly as you fill up with new articles.
Set the frontpage to show 6 articles and then when you add 7 the next page will show up

I have now got about 15 articles showing on front page and the TP settings to show 6 articles but no page 2 link can be found? and setting the front page as you suggested in your 1st post shows my articles on the front page allowing guests to view articles I need them hidden from guests.

In a post here http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=16540.msg136730#msg136730 it is stated that you can hide everything from guests using permissions, I cant find that setting my guests only have 2 permissions view contact page and adds but atricles still show on the front page when logged out viewing as a guest?

If you don't allow guests to view your forum, then they can't view articles. This is a setting in SMF that you need to change if you want it.

Ok I have sort of solved the guests viewing articles by making view forum to guetst disabled but that makes some other pages like the contact page hidden, is there any other way I can make articles viewable only by permissions and also the next page for more articles is still not showing any comments on that?

IchBin

You cannot set permissions on articles at this time. Its on the todo list. As for the pagination problem, I don't know anything about it. But I will see if I can replicate the error.
