No Article Comment Message

Hello all.  I was wondering if there was a way to add a message to an article with no comments, asking people to sign in and comment on it.  Even if I'd have to code it in myself, some pointers on where to edit and what kind of script to enter would work fine.  Thanks.

Allow to comment... in each Articles options. Or do you not want to use the comments feature?

I knew it was confusing, but I was hoping that I explained it well enough.  One of the sites I visit often, www.thrillnetwork.com, has news articles featured on the homepage.  When you read an article, if there are no comments, there is a message that says, "There are no comments for this story. Please log in and comment on this story."  I want to do something like that.

Articles have Comment options.. you just need to turn the feature on.
By default, if guests are not allowed to comment, a message is displayed

Which in my opinion is a little misleading.. That message can probably be edited. Iââ,¬â,,¢m at work and canââ,¬â,,¢t currently look at files on my server.

If you open up TPortal.english.php in your text editor, and find this line, you can change it to your own wording, find this file in... \Themes\default\languages

I'm assuming I could add a string after that one such as:

$txt ['tp-nocoment'] = 'This article has no comments.  Feel free to leave one.';

If so, that's perfect.  If not, at least changing that one string will be good.

I finally got to try adding the no comment string and that failed.  Is there any way I could do something like that as well?
