Tiny Portal v0.4 beta (archived)

During the await of an download section that will have all betas in it, I will just attach the 0.4 beta for anyone to check out, or try out - or even test-upgrade 0.4 -> 0.5.

Probably SAFE mode restriction. Then you won't be able to install the mod automatically. :/

ok now it has decided to install.....but when I click on home to go back to the fourms this is the error I get:


There are no articles in this section yet

any idea why it would do that??

Because there are no articles in that section yet.
Go into tpadmin and add an article in that section.

It should have been at least one article on a fresh install...You are using the default theme I assume , and there are now 2 buttons named "home" and "forum" up there?

I hate being the one that has all the problems, but I'll make it through.....There is a Home buton, but no Forum button after installing the TinyPortaL, and when I click on home it just says that there are no articles in this section yet.... I then activated the Mercury theme and still the same thing. Again I know I am doing something wrong and it is probably something simpe that is wrong...thanks for everyone's help and patients!

**UPDATE**
TINYPORTAL is not showing up at the bottom of the board indicating that it is there...it did install though

Your TinyPortal is there. Doing a action=forum shows the forum - as it should. But I think seceral files are missing. One is that the index.template.php in the Mercury theme does NOT show TP.

Have you installed the Mercury_TP or the regular Mercury?

Further, the language strings are gone for TP, indicating TPadmin.english.php, TPModules.english.php and TPortal.english.php is missing.

TinyPortal is a mod for the Simple Machines board. It adds quite a bit of functionality to make the forum look like a site. It gives you the options to add columns and blocks to the forum to make it look like a website. You'll notcie this if you click the Home button, which loads the portals main page.
