Dragooon

You should be banned for saying that.

Dragooon

Actually what you said is like yo are flaming TP.
And if you want help wait.Even I needed to wait and finally got a answer(And it worked lol).

Dragooon

The points you marked in your first post were quite wrong(Dont think I am flaming you or so)
Quoteyou should contact the code author
What is wrong in that? They are right You should do that because author probably knows most about his/her code.

Quoteread the forum rules, this board isnt for support.
It is true you should read the rules just not post it anywhere

If you would like an explanation to why we sometimes give the "short" and "useless" answers I will tell you.  How many times a day do we write the same answers to the same ole questions?  Many times.  Most people do not take the time to search or the ask the author of the theme or mod they have questions about.  And as far as the posting guidelines.  Take a day in here and watch and see how post are made in threads simply because all of the needed info was not given in the first post.   Sorry for the short and useless answer but it was the best I could come up with.  8)

Yup it is true even I dont search lol(I am not some kind of great guy)

Tick summed up pretty well with the replies we write up when we see posts with the same questions over and over again  :)  We prefer to point on some direction where the answer is given by some one before, and if not, the members usually post back and say that the answer they got didn't work, and then we work from there. Most of the times we from the team (cant say for others ) use the search all the time our self's to find the answers, if not here so on SMF or any other site where the answer might be, so the answer to about 90% of the questions is in reach through a search. ( if you get the right search terms so it can take a while some times)
If we cant find the answer, we try and make the error appare on our own forums or testforums so we can see where and what the error comes from. Thats the main reason we want members to write up as much information possible in their first post so we have more to go on from the start. :)

A bump of post is more or less ignored if it gets bumped with in 24 hours, and thats because we might not have the answer straight up, or we simply have other questions we work on that have to be done before we can take on any other question. This is where our forum etiquette post in the doc section comes in handy :)

I hope this is some of the answers you can accept for why we sometimes give a reply that might not be what you want or what you want to read. We often use terms like "search is your best friend", and we give that answer just because WE use it all the time when we do the support here :)

@ Megaforum

We don't ban members just cause they have an oppinion that they want to say or ask. This topic is no reason to give some one a ban and all members that have been in  here for some time should know that ;)

Dragooon

Yeah I know you guys dont neither they should be unless they are flaming badly which I am sure he wasent but after reading his post it fried my brain

I think JD has realised the naivety of his/her post - the moral of this story is that no matter how frustrated you are with what you are trying to achieve - don't shoot the community (yes, we are as one) that has come together, collectively, to help you ;)

Regards,

Wilsy.
