Hello, I just download tinyportal 9.8 via the packages manager, and i was told it works and that its fully installed. It seems that it doesn't fit with my theme for I cannot see anything but the welcome fulpage. However the tiny portel screen where we customize there is no visible links nor is there any side bar links. I've switch to the defult theme and it seem to show up with the left and right sidebar and but like my theme it doesn't show the tiny portal side bar. what do i do?

did you have the forum set to the defaul theme when you installed.  Are you using a theme that has been converted for tp?   The missing text is more than likely a language problem.  First make sure you have a tp theme.  then do a search for missing text and you will find you answer.  Also if you are still havning problems, a link to the forum would be helpful to better see what the prolbem could be.

No i didn't. I unistall and then install again using the default theme. It worked but like you said i guess the langague thing is missing. I just spent days trying to customize this theme called orangeball to my own liking so does that mean i have to find another theme and try to customize it?

Now i'm so Confused. What language file do i need? I went and i guess i didn't find english or i didn't look properly. I could post a link but my server started acting up.

Should i do an manual install instead or something since package manager seems to say its perfectly done but who knows. i even uninstall all my hacks so far nothing

Also you can try this as a quick fix.Admin>server settings>default forum langauge>switch to english if it set english-utf8.

Sorry for taking so long to get back.  Yes as rider said you can get a tp theme from the downloads here.  Also crip has a little tutorial on how to convert a theme if you feel up to trying that.  As far as the language fix what rider said will work but if you have other mods that use the english utf language you can download the english utf files and upload them to your site.

Ok i'm going to search for that tutorial to convert a theme. I have a question about the mods i have. SInce i uninstall my mods, when i was in that process i discovered that some files didn't work but when i did install them it worked does tiny portal interfare with some of the mods even if they are the most recent ones for 1,1,2? One more thing i was searching through the themes how do i know which ones works with the most recent version of smf?

It is best to install Tp on with all other mods uninstalled.  I dont understand what you are talking about when you say some files do no work.  Do you mean you got some errors on the uninstall of some mods?  Also in the downloads section you will see the folder for themes that work with the most recent version.  Also look carefully because the folders sometimes contain the smf version and the tp version.  Usually the tp version is on the bottom.  Hope this helps.
