I just found this bit in the file
//$real_version = $forum_version; //comment out this line to restore version no.
//$forum_version = "SMF";         //comment out this line to restore version no.
$forum_copyright = '<a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/" title="Simple Machines Forum" target="_blank">Powered by ' . $forum_version . '</a> |
<a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/about/copyright.php" title="Free Forum Software" target="_blank">SMF &copy; 2006, Simple Machines LLC</a>';
//$forum_version =  $real_version; //comment out this line to restore version no.

Ok cool so that is where the SMF copyright is, and I found the TP copyright in the Sources/TPortal.php

$forum_copyright = '<a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/" title="Simple Machines Forum" target="_blank">Powered by ' . $forum_version . '</a> |
