Ive upgraded to SMF 1.1.2, which worked fine.  When I try to install TP through the package manager I just get a white screen with done at the bottom.  If I try to do a manual install I cannot get back onto the forum at all (I have to redo the smf upgrade).

We were running tp 0.85 without problems.

All my files are 777.

Any help much appreciated.

Are you installing in the core default theme.  Also are you getting any errors when you try to install.  Please provide as much info as you can to help us help you.   ;)

choddychod

Yes, changed it to default theme and put it into administrative mode.

When I do the Package install, it uploads ok, goes through the tests (all pass), then I hit Install Now. All i get is the white page with done at the bottom.  Go back into forum and its not showing as installed.

Most likly the same issue as most times.
Eather the files dont have the corect permissions, so even if the installer say GO, the files dont get addedand/or extracted correct.

What you can do now is to download the manual install package from the downloadsection.
Extract the files, and upload them manually to your forum and over write the TP files that there.

Also when you have done this, you need to check the SMF files where TP add or change code in them.
In the doc section you have the document to follow what code to check and where.

I have done the manual install, changed all the code in all the files (took about 2 hours).  After I run the final file, it says that it has completed but then I no longer have access to the forum.  I have to reinstall the SMF upgrade to get it back on line.

I also chmod 777 all the files in my forum directory before I ran both the manual and the package install.

Turns out that my FTP wasnt allowing chmod form ftp.

The package has now installed ok.  I see it as installed in the pachages section, but cannot see the block manager????

Can you post a link or a screen shot?

Go in and check the files via ftp and see if the edits have been made to the files.  You can compare the code with the code in the manual install instructions.  DId you resolve the issues with the permissions.

choddychod

Yes, permissions are sorted for ftp, so the package installs ok now.  I will check the files when I get home.

Thanks
