Help - cant follow basic install

I'm trying to go through the Basic install guide thread, but I hit a roadblock here:

There are two ways to do this:
- using a feature in the SMF Package Manager
- using your server Admin Panel or FTP software.

Using the SMF Package Manager

Go to Package Manager > Installation Options > Cleanup Permissions > Select  All are files writable and click on "Go"

When I get to Installation Options, all I see is this:



There's no Cleanup place anywhere...;_;

Are you using ver. 1.0.5? I think that is a feature that was added in with the latest releases. Is you FTP info not working? If you can't install TP in the package manager you could always try the manual install at this link.

yeah, im sure im using 1.0.5, though i seem to have the Profile.template.php   1.0.1   instead of 1.0.4, not sure if that matters or not.

2.) Upload all TP files to the correct locations. The file TP074_filesonly.zip contains them, in the right folders too.

sorry, but what would the correct location be?  the forum folder?

Yes in the root of your forum folder.

okay, the manual install went good. thanks.  one other thing, though, where can i get to the TinyPortal Admin Panel mentioned on the home page of this site?

TPadmin should be in a link at the top menu. Unless you have a theme that has not been converted for TinyPortal. All of those themes are located here.

TinyPortal only installs to the default theme. So if you want to see TP on any other theme you have to use a theme that is TP ready. Don't get confused because there is TWO versions of every theme on this site. One for the SMF forum and another for SMF/TinyPortal.

And One versoin for SMF 1.0.5 and another for SMF version 1.1 RC1.

Hmm, sounds like 4 versions of each theme.
