Stupid question, but how do I set it up so non admins can write articles?

I cannot seem to find anything that will allow regular members to add articles. I want them to be able to write the articles and put them in for approval, with certain groups being auto-approved if possible.

Set what membergroup you want to be able to submit articles.

I went there, but I don't see anything about articles except "manage articles"

I see "manage settings", "managed blocks", "manage argitlces", "manage downloads", "Upload file", "manage links", "manage gallery", and "manage teampage".

Manage articles is the one you need to check

Then In Admin/TinyPortal/Article manager /Submissions you check the membergroups you want to be able to submit articles. (same group you checked to be able to manage articles in permissions)

They don't need the manage articles set, just the Submissions group checked.

So for the people I want to be able to approve articles, they would be the only ones who need the manage articles permission, correct?

Regular members would be "ungrouped," I assume?

Yes, for a approval they need manage articles set in the membergroup. The regular membergroup is ungrouped members yes.

Thanks, it works great! One last question...is there a way to let the article creator choose what category they would like it to go in so it is already set up and ready for approval?
