Why when I type something in Greek, at my shoutbox (TP version), it displays an smilie like that?:

G6Cad

Probably because you have a smiley set to use the same letter or sign you are typing.
Look in your admin smileys configuration and find the smiley it adds and change the "code" used for it.

JimKarvo

No.. every word I type in Greek, it displays the smilie..

Phraze etc... Maybe Encoding Problem? If it is a encoding problem,. How Can I fix it?

G6Cad

I will post a redirect to this post to agridoc who is our master in greek language and support for that language.

Go to phpmyadmin and change the collation for the shoutbox tables to general utf8 ci.

After that find all the TP php files and change the file encoding to utf8 (without BOM).

Hope that helps.

I have phpmyadmin open but where exactly is it stored for the tinyportal stuff?

it would help if you could be more spesific with table names etc

dimdom

In phpmyadmin open your forum database. Find all the tables in it having a relevant name with tportal (smf_tp something for example). Open each one seperately and change all the collations.

Not I need to say that you must take a back up of your database first...
