Hello. I am using TP 0.75, and on one computer, I can log out as normal. But on my other computer, for some reason, when I click the Log Out button, it just takes me back home. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.  :)

Using the same browser on both machines? Try clearing your cookies and cache in your browser.

Wizard

I tried that, and the same problem persisted. :(

Have you changed your cookie settings lately? Seems like a cookie problem to me. In fact, I just found this from Unknown at SMF.

This is caused by changing your cookie settings.  It's trying to use the new settings to log out, but the cookie was set with the old settings.

Wizard

I thought it was a cookie problem at first, but I don't think it is.

Are the machines different in any way? Same IP? linux and windows etc?

Wizard

They're both windows, both running Firefox 1.0.7, but different IP addresses. Could the IP addresses be a problem?

I am not sure..it should not be a problem really. It does sound like a cookie problem after all. If it was IE I would think security settings was different etc..but with Firefox those issues are almost non-existant - from I know of FF anyway.

This is something that I have noticed as well. I have to hit the log out button at least twice before TP will show that I am logged out. But when I hit the log out button once from TP and then go to the forum , It shows Me as logged out. And when I hit the home button again and go back to TP it still shows me as logged in until I hit the logout button again.

Weird.

Well, I'm redoing my site by real HTML, and soon I will abandon TinyPortal, assuming it is the problem. Don't get me wrong, TP is a great software, I have no trouble using it, but I'm getting the urge to start using HTML again. :)
