When I click on:

http://tinyportal.co.uk/

the URL gets rewritten to:

http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?www

That trailing www shouldn't be there, should it?...

I think it depends on how Bloc have the site setup on the server and what script he is using for the frontpage.
You know that he usually use his own way to display things in here in some places  :D

I've noticed this on a lot of sites, including my own. Is it really a bug? Or is it the way apache should handle the URL because of virtual domains?

It certainly looks like less-than-perfect configuration. I doubt virtual domains specifically have anything to do with it...

If it happens across all virtual hosts in a server, then it's a core config issue; if it does not, probably an Apache directive or URL rewrite has not been set correctly.

I to get this when I go to my site geekinc.info/index.php?www at the end of it and I never did really understand this

Does tinyportal.co.uk have any subdomains and related redirects? I'm asking because www is, basically, a subdomain after all.

Guys, when/if you solve this, please also tell us what was at the root :P of the problem and how did you solve it. Who knows, we might use that knowledge some time too.

Thanks in advance!

I've seen it on a lot of different sites. I think it has to do with server configuration. This is more of a hosting issue than the way you can configure the server yourself...unless you roll your own server. LOL
