okay i have been trying all day to fix this problem.

in IE 7 it works fine. i can see all the text (we are trying to post an article that is about 137 pages long, about 225k characters.)

but in fire fox, we only get about 30 pages into it, and then it just stops, the text is still there, it almost looks like a frame or table is covering it up. i have tested i on two different servers, same setup for smf/tp.

the main site is www.dreameroutthere.com/smf

the article is in renegades of destiny link, called mini series.

if any can help. please do so.

you have to view it in firefox, it will display fine in IE 7.

thanks

Please follow the posting guidelines located in my signature, it will help us help you faster instead of having to ask the same questions we always have to ask for support questions. A test account to your site would be nice too so we don't have to register an account on all the forums we try to help out on.

smf 1.1.2 (aero 79 tp)
tp .98(aero79 tp)

www.dreameroutthere.com/smf

username: pass: user name and password removed

the problem is in the articles, it displays correctly in IE 7, but will not display correctly any of the firefox versions.

its seems as if the table structure or layer, is being blocked out, the test is still there, i just can't see 90% of it in firefox.

Never post an admin user name and password to your board publicly

anything else you need to know?

sorry to jump in here ich, but when giving login details, it would be best to set up a temp  account ie. pw:test user:test then you can delete the account soon after, save on spammers getting in

IchBin

No problemo Les. I assumed the details he would provide would be a test account. If not, then yes you should listen to Lesmond! :D

What kind of article are you putting it in? It appears to cut off the copyright too. Can you post the whole text in a file please so we can test this ourselves?

well i am doing the site for my friend and he wants to be able to post his scripts and stories up for everyone to read, and he wants a quick and easy way to do this, so i say, "hey lets go with smf and tiny portal, two awesome programs" and he's like "yeah, your the god of this webmaster stuff" and modest me blushed and was like "not really". he gets all excited and estatic about it when he goes to look at it, i pasted his first script up for him, views fine in IE, cause i general tend not to use firefox, but he uses fire fox, and was like "man you only post the first 58 scenes" and i was like "no, it is all in there," so i take i download firefox, and low and behold, it was cutting it off about 30 pages into the story, it seems that the text is still there, cause if you go the bottom, where rate and comment is suppose to be, and wave your your mouse over it like a wand, then you will find the box's for submitting a comment and rating it.

just out of curiosit, should i just try a manual install of tp? cause i did the packaged version of it.

later,
trans

Very weird... I tried it with and without the article editor. It saves more text without the editor, but it doesn't save the formatting. I don't really have an answer. Maybe split it up into two parts. Thats about all I can suggest for now. We'll see if Bloc has an idea why it won't show all of it.
