Getting my head around the permissions for custom groups was / is a nightmare all by itself.  :o

This morning I've been trying(?) to install and bridge to my live forum, but ran into the same users list critical error issue that you had.

I'm reading up on your topic now trying to sort out mine.

ooh, after you sort that one out Ken, you might wan't to look at this one.  http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,67422.0.html  ;)

Got a feelin I'm about to get told off again for asking silly questions.  You have to be careful over there you know.  :uglystupid2:  :D

Ken.

I'm still having trouble with the first one, that file edit didn't seem to change anything.

When you had it installed to the same db as SMF how did that work out? I've never tried to install a second program/app to the same db as SMF except for those that get installed through the package manager.

Ken, that's strange the fix worked for me.  What error are you getting?

I must mention this, but you probably already know,

"It's mandatory that you (as admin) go to the groups page directly after bridging or whenever you change anything in your bridging configuration or if you change anything in your groups settings on your bbs, as you need to trigger the re-sync."

This includes editing the bridge files.  ;)

As for the databases.  I've got a couple of online testsites with shared databases, and also got a couple of bridged installs using xampp one sharing the same database.  No error when clicking memberlist.

And one with separate databases, applied that fix again to cure the error.

You just need to export the coppermine database using phpmyadmin, and import it into the smf database.

Then edit the include / config.inc.php file and add the database name and user details.

Ken, did you ever get any further with this, or did you give it up as a bad job.  :P

And if you did get it up and running, did you manage to also get cpmfetch to work as before?

Ken, no problem, I don't blame you.  It's a pain to be honest.  ;)

I'm trying to get cpmfetch to work as it did with 1.4.27.  I've got it working with the latest Coppermine 1.5.8, but have to leave out the Image owner name, and comment count.

I'll get there eventually.   O0

I've the coppermine support forums, but not got a solution so far..  :)

I've been on those support forums a few times. They're pretty much jerks from the stuff I've read. lol

Yes, they can be.

At least they dropped the Karma thing... in years past they would dump lots of negative karma on you for the least little offense against the site rules and would simply refuse to help you if you complained at all.

I've been told off a few times.   :knuppel2:

Makes you scared to ask a question sometimes.  Glad all support forums aren't like that.  ;)

That said, I must be growing on them a bit, I've got one topic stickied, and even got a theme (my first and only theme) on their demo site for download.  8)
