Frontpage not showing Articles

Hi there,

I got a little Problem with TP. It won't show Articles, except the featured one, when I select  'Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date' and then select an empty Forum at 'Show forum-posts on front page from'. Bug or Feature? :laugh:

See if this would help you some

Log into your forum then go to Admin Panel. 

Go down to Tiny Portal Admin Panel.  After you come to it then go to Tiny Portal Setting.  Hit the setting and it's will bring you up to the screen with all the setting.  But you don't want that.

You will see the front page right? Go over to the front page and it's will bring you up on the setting for the front page.

Then go down to "What to show on front page" and put this Only forum-posts or whatever you wanted to put on that setting.

After you done that then go down to this "How frontblocks will be shown".  Put this How frontblocks will be shown to Frontblocks are added first or whatever you wanted to be.

Also you will see this "Visual options for frontpage". You don't have to do nothing to that setting.  Just put a check mark in the box's.

Afte you done with that.  You will see "Articles layout for the front page" right?  Put this as Articles layout for the front page to D or B

You will see this "Show forum-posts on front page from" and also you will see the "drop down mena too"'  Click the drop down mena and pick the board's you wanted to show on the frontpage.

You one see this "Number of forum-posts to show on front page".  Put the number you wanted to show on the frontpage.

And now this is the only step left now. Also you will see this too "Number of characters to show per forum-post". Put that the number you wanted to be.

And hit save with that.  And you are done.

I allready found that answer yesterday and I got no problem as long as I select 'Only articles' in the Front Page settings. But as soon as I select 'Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date' and an empty Forum to take the Forums postings from, any Article I wrote won't be shown either. So just some kind of Bug-Report

Can you send me a temp admin login to your forum so i can see what you are talking about.

Its a bug..the routine assume you are fetching posts from a board that actually contains some.

Yep, make a post in the empty forum.

You'll have to wait. There are many things going on in TinyPortal and Themes around here. Just be patient and things will get fixed.
