I did search and the two other posts didnt answer my question - they gave solutions that didn't fix my problem.

Here is the problem I'm having.

Quote
The Tiny Portal Block is empty after install even after the installation script tells me the installation was successful. I seem to be using utf english language and the default theme. I've searched through these forums, don't see a ready-made fix to the problem.

I searched the threads in this forum and found that this can happen if the language patch isn't english-utf. I found out I already have that language. I also determined by searching through this forum that this can happen when you don't have the default theme but I do have the default theme.

I did more searching but I couldn't find a concise answer that worked for me - so I posted here and the thread was summarily locked because "I didn't look hard enough". Which I did look - the information I need just isn't readily available.

There isn't really an error - it's just that in the Admin page, on the left hand side, the Tiny Portal block doesn't have anything listed in it. I assume thats where the blocks to edit and other TP options should be showing up.

as shadow queen was saying most more than likely its your language files.  You either have to have your forum language set to english not english utf  or download the english utf files for tp from the link she provided above
