Tried what was suggested above but it didn't work.
Hope anyone can help me.

Zetan

you may have to do a Manual Install.. Please see the Docs section.

ManilaGurL

That means I have to uninstall Tinyportal first before
doing Manual Install?

G6Cad

You dont need to uninstall Tp before you install it manually.
You can simply comapre the code with the mod instruction in the docs to see what code you need to add.

It's not that bad ManilaGurL and it's a great way to start learning and understanding the code that goes into SMF & TP.

Just take you time and read carefully as you go along... next thing you know it'll be done and then you can say that you did some manual coding to your site all by yourself.
Of course if you're like me and get into a little trouble along the way you can always get help here on TP.  :D

Oh and like everyone always says... backup your site before you start!
I always keep at least three copies of any file that is being worked on;
The original on the site that gets renamed and remains on the site in case it has to be put back in place. the renaming only happens at the moment just before the revised copies are loaded to the site.
One copy of the original in a folder on my desktop, again just in case I screw up.
And a work copy of the file where the code changes are made.

Keeping all those extra spare copies pays off if things go bad because you can then just rename the saved originals back to where they were and you'll be back where you were when you started.

this is the only thread I could find in a search that made sense and since I started it perhaps I can use it for my problem....

Alright, I tried to DL the language files needed to fix the same problems I originally had and the reason for starting this thread. But, when I use the package manage to DL them I am told that the file are not files or they have become corrupted, anyone else have this problem? or is their another place I can get the TP english-utf8 files I need to get TP running properly on my forum...
