Okay, hopefully I'm asking the right people... I tried to do a search, but didn't really come up with much.Ã,  Could someone either explain how to do these, or point me to the right link?

I recently installed SMF 1.1.2 and TP 0.9.8.6.Ã,  I am using the Amber theme (actually Scribbles theme now since Amber wasnt' working right).Ã,  I want to make a front page that is a welcome page, then have a different page for the forum.Ã,  How do I go about making this happen?

Also, something I suspect is easy...Ã,  my time is off (as in not time logged in but the actual time of day), how do I reset that for the whole forum?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks
DJ

UPDATE... I got what I wanted to do with the pages as far as home and then forum to work with Scribbles, but still not with Amber... maybe I need to post that same question in the Amber theme area?   Still need help getting the time right though...

For a frontpage set your frontpage to display a single article in front page settings. You can customize the article to display what you want.

For the time, SMF uses server time. Each person needs to set their timezone in their profile if it is wrong.

I know how to set the time correctly in my own profile, is there a way to do it for the whole board?  (Maybe I need to go over there and research that question a bit)
That's what I had done with the front page, but it didn't have a "forum" button...  I tried adding a button by using the code, but kept getting parsing errors, etc, plus I didn't know what address the forum was.  Now I do, so I will try again when I get home.  THanks for all the help!!!!

As I said, the board time is based on the server time. So if your server says that it is 12 pm, then so will your board.

You'll have to be more specific about your frontpage errors if you'd like help with that. :)
