Multi-forum SMF mod and TP

Sarge is making a mod to use TP in a multi-forum SMF environnement. Each forum can have it's own theme as he as demonstrated here : http://www.albwebmaster.com/

Any one knows if we could have a different FrontPage for different forum in that type of environnement.

There's actually just 1 forum installation, 1 database, 1 set of users, boards, categories, posts and topics. The mod just makes a SMF forum appear as separate subforums.

Unlimited subforums. The menu can be set up as a menubox block or whatever, just insert the subforum links wherever you want -- the links are generated by the mod's page in the SMF Admin Control Panel.

Not really. But the devs might want to include this mod into TP in the future.

I tried the Mod by Sarge: Problems i incured:

Advertising can't be seperated per forum (my goal was to have different forums for different citys and communities so advertising capabilities has to be able to modified per forum.)

Couldn't get the categories to list properly per forum

This could all be due to my lack of lnowledge.

SMF XXL is no longer offering the ability to run its version with TP or any mods at all. I am so desperate to get a multi forum system that uses 1 database and I can have different ads running in each forum.

Well i was able to purchase the TP version of smfxxl. This feature is absoulutely a dream! Grafor was so kind to even do the instal and spend sometime online with me explaining how to work the program. I am giving a massive  :up: two thumbs up  :up:  for this multi fourm platform.

I am simply using the panels as a means of advertising space. if you have not seen it you deffinately nedd to consider this. www.smfxxl.com
